Digital Readers
My wonderful husband gave me a Sony Digital Reader for my birthday last week. I knew I wanted one over a year ago so, I did a whole lot of online research (ratings and reviews) on them before I picked out the one I wanted and I am glad to say that I am very, very, very happy with the Sony Reader Touch Edition PRS-650. I love how easy it is to use and that it has a fast response time. There were a couple of instances when I first got it that it seemed to not be responding and I had to do a manual reset, but at the time, I had it searching through a 900+ page book for a quote. I think this may be to much for it to perform with the simple software that all digital readers have. I like the freedom and capability to download and read PDF's (which I believe that it does really well with displaying) and other documents and that it isn't proprietary to certain document forms. I have already borrowed books from the local library system and I am pleased with how easy that was to do. I just wish that the library system had a larger selection of books from my favorite authors......maybe in the future.......
From a happy new digital reader,
